11/3 Technical Rescue
Engine 2, Rescue 5, Truck 2, Medic 3, and Car1 responded to a report of a subject unconcious. Arriving units found a 53 Y/O male unconcious on a scaffold hanging over the side of Brickingdales department store. Rescue5 made their way to the roof and then repelled down to the patient. Truck 2 arrived and positioned their bucket next to the scaffold. The patient was transferred. On the way down the patient stopped breathing. CPR was immediately administered. When they reached the ground and the patient was transferred to Medic 1, he had a pulse , but breathing was heavily labored. While en-route to Brickmont General, the patient went into cardiac arrest and was resucitated with the defibrilator. Care was transferred to the Emergency Department and the patient is expected to make a complete recovery.

1/28 Structure Fire
At aprox. 20:30 Brickmont Heights dispatchers received multiple calls for a fire at Brickwood Pizzaria. Units arrived to find a working fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and 2 victims were rescued, one of which did not survive. Units involved were: E-2, E-7, E-9, T-2, R-5, & D-2. Pictures can be viewed at:

Thanksgiving Weekend Plane Crash
For a few scary moments, it looked like it would truly be a "Black Friday" in Brickmont Heights, as LegAir Flight 7893 made an emergency landing in the Brickmont Sound Friday afternoon. With the assistance of the Brickmont Heights Coastal Patrol, The Coast Guard, Brickmont Heights Police Department, and seveal private ambulance services, Brickmont Heights Fire-Rescue rescued all passengers and crew members with only minor injuries.
