A little fun from the crew of Engine 2

Disaster Strikes

Picture
On 9/19 Engine 2 and Rescue 1 were involved in a collision. The two units were responding to two seperate incidents when they collided in the intersection of Market St. and Central Ave. Several firefighters were transported to Brickmont General with serious but non life threatening injuries.

Collision Follow Up

Both Engine 2 and Rescue 1 have been replaced. Rescue 1 was replaced with a rig purchased from the disbanded Rescue 3 from Lego Angeles County Fire. Engine 2 was a demo unit that loosely fit the department's specs, but will definately meet their needs. Both units are in service and can be viewed on the Engines and Rescues pages respectively. All firefighters have made a full recovery with the exception of one, who is still on light duty. He is currently working as a Chief's Aid.
